About Me

I was raised on a family farm in Southern Ohio, where my dad farmed and my mom took care of our home. From an early age, I learned that hard work and responsibility weren’t just words — they were how you put food on the table and earned the respect of your neighbors. Those lessons shaped everything that’s come since.

 

After high school, I served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army and deployed to Iraq from 2003 to 2004. That year taught me more about leadership, teamwork, and perspective than I could ever learn from a book. It also deepened my appreciation for the people and communities back home who supported us through it all. My service in the Army doesn’t define me, but it’s a part of who I am — and it reminds me every day to lead with integrity, take care of others, and stay grounded.

 

When I returned home, I spent 15 years in corporate finance and risk management with General Electric Aviation. I worked with teams across the globe on complex projects, contracts, and transactions worth billions. That experience gave me a deep understanding of how business really works — the pressures, the risks, and the decisions that matter.

 

Along the way, I became a small business owner myself, starting and growing ventures here in Southern Ohio while continuing to help on our family’s hay and cattle farm. Owning and operating businesses taught me firsthand what it takes to balance growth, risk, and day-to-day demands — experience that now helps me support the people and business owners I serve.

 

Eventually, I realized I wanted to work directly with people — to help them solve problems, plan for the future, and make confident decisions. That’s what led me to the practice of law. I didn’t make the change for money or a title; I did it because I wanted to make a difference for the people in my community.

 

Today, I combine those experiences — military service, business leadership, small-business ownership, and life on the farm — to offer clients honest, practical legal help. I know that real life is messy. Bad things happen to good people. Businesses hit rough spots. Families face hard choices. My job is to be the steady hand that helps people through those moments with clarity, fairness, and respect.
